

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS

Establish in 2019 the mission of the New Jersey Knights Elite is to nurture and cultivate exceptional student
athletes by providing a positive environment for learning and playing football. Our primary objective is
to foster the growth of young men and women with outstanding character who are driven to succeed
both academically and athletically. We are committed to molding champions for life who embody
essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, responsibility, commitment, discipline, work ethic, and
most importantly, a positive attitude.

Chris Baker, born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, embodies sacrifice and dedication through his unwavering commitment to inspiring young people to believe they can achieve any goal they set their minds to — a journey he personally exemplifies. Chris earned a Division I athletic scholarship to play football at Rutgers University, where he graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Management and Labor Relations. He continued his football career in the National Football League, playing for the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets.
Randy Johnson has been a cornerstone in youth development through football and baseball for over 20 years. His dedication has helped shape hundreds of young men and women, guiding them to success far beyond the game. Randy worked in the Carpenters Union for 30 years. Of those 30 years 15 years, he was a
Shop Stewart, Randy was responsible for the workers working in a fair and safe environment, helping to ensure that workplace issues were addressed and that the rights of employees were protected.

Denise, a Jersey City Councilwoman representing Ward A, has been a steadfast leader in our community and remains instrumental in strengthening the foundation of Jersey City.
Manny, a former Rutgers football standout and NFL player with the New York Jets, now a financial advisor, has played a key role in strengthening our Rutgers football community and fostering meaningful connections

Jalal played Division I football at Stony Brook University, showcasing his versatility by contributing on both sides of the ball. With nearly a decade of coaching experience, his unique ability to connect with youth from all backgrounds has made him a powerful role model in the community.

Jamie is founder and chief development officer at Grove Street Consulting, a fundraising firm that specializes in grants development and program evaluation. He previously served as Director of Development at Rising Tide Capital, Managing Assistant Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs at NJCU, and Director of Corporate Partnerships at Trinitas Health Foundation.For many years he also played, managed, and served as commissioner for the Central Park Windmill League, one of the oldest fastpitch softball leagues in New York City. A lifelong New York Giants fan, his favorite player growing up was #56, Lawrence Taylor.
